Random thought before bed time:  Heaven kind of scares me.  About as much as the thought of there truly being nothing.  Why?  Meeting God, having a really chill discussion and knowing everything.  EVERYTHING.  As a human being, one of the many great things about life here on Earth is forever seeking knowledge, a futile but fascinating quest to both uncover mysteries and reveal new ones.  What happens once that sense of mystery is forever gone?  I fear Heaven to be a boring place; we are promised eternal happiness yet happiness is fleeting.  I am in arguably one of the richest nations on Earth where food and material goods are in abundance and readily available yet in this country anti depressants are among the most popular consumer drugs.  I do not need to worry about dying tomorrow due to war or famine and yet, I am unhappy due to work and school work.  We cannot wait for a month off from school but when it gets here we find ourselves longing to go back so we have something to do.  People adapt to happiness; what makes you happy one day, you will accept as normal the other day.  Unless I am fundamentally changed as a human being, I do not see how Heaven can keep me happy for all of eternity, no matter what greatness lies there if it truly exists.  I sincerely hope I am reincarnated instead and free to pursue other mysteries and experiences that life has to offer.
